We Think Steve’s Neat!
We’re delighted to represent the catalogue of producer/musician Steve Thompson. Steve is responsible for many hits down the years; he was also instrumental in setting up Neat Records and was particularly active as a producer and influencer during the NWOBHM (New Wave Of British Heavy Metal) years. Steve kickstarted the careers of several influential heavy metal acts, including Venom and Raven.
His work with the glam band Bullfrog made waves in the North East of England. Our deal also includes music from Steve himself plus early recordings from Andy Taylor of Duran Duran and Toni Halliday from 90s shoegazers Curve, demos by 80s metal band Tygers Of Pan Tang, the last recordings of 70s star Alvin Stardust, plus material by dance DJ/artist Baby Ford, British blues journeyman Tony McPhee, The Brief, Caffrey, Morrison, The Coming Storm, Lorraine Crosby, George Lamb, The House Band, Nights That Pass In The Ship, Ramalash, Rewind and Southbound.
