We Felt Adidas!

Hot on the heels of Felt‘s ‘Primitive Painters’ being used in a Nike skate video, another of their tracks now appears in a new Adidas online advert promoting their snowboarding boot the Tactical Lexicon ADV.

Essentially a solo piece by future Primal Scream keyboard player Martin Duffy, ‘Magellan’ (originally entitled ‘Ferdinand Magellan’) is a serene classical piano instrumental which graced the B-side of Felt‘s 1986 independent hit on Creation Records, ‘Ballad Of The Band’.

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
