Vice’s King Of The Road series features track by classic rock band Hard Stuff

Vice‘s King Of The Road series celebrates Skate culture in all its forms.

Episode 8 of Season 2 (broadcast on 27th of this month) includes an early 70s Classic Rock nugget, ‘Time Gambler’ by Hard Stuff from the catalogue of Purple Records (the label originally created around Deep Purple).

Meanwhile, all of the band’s recordings for Purple appear on a new 2-CD anthology, issued through Cherry Red next Friday 21st July.

FOXY FRIENDS

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
