‘The Truth’ hits and material now available for license via Cherry Red

Arising from the ashes of cult R&B band Nine Below Zero, Mod/power pop band The Truth enjoyed a Top 30 hit back in 1983 with debut single ‘Confusion (Hits Us Everytime)’ as the media cited them as the next Jam.

Follow-up ‘A Step In The Right Direction’ also troubled the charts as the band won the plaudits for their phenomenal live shows.

Unavailable for decades, The Truth‘s hits – and other material from that period – are finally available for license from Cherry Red Records.

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
