The Spectrum catalogue now represented by Cherry Red

Hailed as Britain’s answer to The Monkees, The Spectrum issued a string of Swinging London-styled singles during the second half of the 1960s, such as ‘Portobello Road’ and ‘London Bridge Is Coming Down’.

Many of their recordings are now represented by Cherry Red, including most of their singles and tracks was a rare, Venezualan-only album (ripe for vinyl reissue).

FOXY FRIENDS

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
