THE OI!PRESSED

The Oppressed are a Welsh Oi! band formed in 1981 as an outlet for vocalist Roddy Moreno. An outspoken advocate for racial unity within the skinhead and Oi! scenes, Moreno released the band’s albums on his own label Oi! Records. Cherry Red has acquired the rights to the band’s catalogue, including the albums Oi! Oi! Music, Fatal Blow and Dead & Buried, alongside plenty of demos, unreleased tracks, and live versions. Our punk imprint, Captain Oi,will be releasing a multi-CD boxset in the near future.

FOXY FRIENDS

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
