The Moody Blues added to Cherry Red’s catalogue

The Moody Blues’ mid-Sixties recordings have been out-of-print for over a decade now. Finally, their early hits – namely, ‘Go Now!’ (a UK No. 1 and US Top 10), ‘Everyday’, ‘From The Bottom Of My Heart’ and ‘I Don’t Want To Go On Without You’ – are available for licence from Cherry Red, along with material from their debut LP The Magnificent Moodies.

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
