The Monochrome Set feature in a new film soundtrack

Indie pop / post-punk pioneers The Monochrome Set feature in a new film soundtrack with their second-ever single ‘Eine Symphonie Des Grauens’, which first appeared on Rough Trade in 1979.

This artful, jangly guitar gem will appear in Govinda Van Maele’s new big screen, German language drama, Gutland, currently in production with Luxembourg-based company Les Film Fauves and described – somewhat enigmatically – as “a surreal village noir”.

Due for release later this year.

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
