The Men From Baltimore

The Men From Baltimore

Formed in 1968 in Brooklyn, New York, Sir Lord Baltimore were a hard rock band, led by songwriter Mike Appel, who recorded two acclaimed albums for Mercury Records – namely, Kingdom Come (1970) and Sir Lord Baltimore  (1971).

A review of their debut in Creem magazine was notable for its early use of the term “heavy metal“.

Cherry Red now control the rights to both these albums (think classic US “riff rock“!), which include the singles ‘Master Heartache’ and ‘Hard Rain Fallin’ ‘.

We also represent the retrospectively released album Ill Raw (which came out in 2006).
