Teenage Outcasts Say Something!

Formed in 1977 by the Cowan brothers and originally signed to the seminal Belfast label Good Vibrations, The Outcasts quickly became known for their raw, melodic punk. Cherry Red represents The Outcasts’ catalogue, encompassing both original albums and rare recordings that capture the band’s enduring legacy. ‘Just Another Teenage Rebel’ (Cherry Red also control the publishing) is one of three of our tracks featured in the new TV mini-series Say Nothing. The plotline of this Disney+ production spans four tumultuous decades during The Troubles in Northern Ireland. The other tracks featured are ‘Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain’ by Big Tom and the Mainliners and ‘Boys’ by Kim Wilde.

FOXY FRIENDS

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
