Strictly Danced!
Toyah Willcox has been announced as a celebrity contestant confirmed for the new series of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing. The award-winning show, returning this Autumn, celebrates two decades of dance. Toyah was Safari Records’ most successful act, with eight albums and numerous hits between 1981 and 1983, including ‘It’s A Mystery’ and ‘Thunder In The Mountains’ (both No. 4), ‘Good Morning Universe’ (No. 14), and ‘Brave New World’ (No. 21). Our track this week is (appropriately) ‘Danced’, taken from Toyah’s debut studio album Sheep Farming In Barnet and released as a single in 1980. We represent all of Toyah’s Safari-era output.Toyah Willcox has been announced as a celebrity contestant confirmed for the new series of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing.
