State Records was a British independent label founded in 1975 by Wayne Bickerton, Tony Waddington and John Fruin. Across the late 70s and early 80s, the label ran the gamut of pop, soul and disco, delivering success for artists such as Mac & Katie Kissoon, Delegation, Gary Benson and more, releasing over 100 singles and numerous albums. FOXY FRIENDS

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
