The Spencer Davis Group were one of the coolest British R&B/Mod bands of the 1960s.

In 1967, with a new line-up, they adopted a more Psychedelic yet still bluesy sound on hit singles ‘Mr. Second Class’ and ‘Time Seller’, as well as their 1968 LP With Their New Face On and tracks from that year’s soundtrack album Here We Go Round The Mulberry Bush.

Cherry Red also represent the rights to the subsequent albums by Spencer Davis and spin-off band Hardin &York.

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
