Sock It To ‘Em, J.B. Horns!
Back in the 60s and early 70s, Alfred ‘Pee Wee’ Ellis, Fred Wesley and Maceo Parker were key lynchpins in the genre-defining funk sound of James Brown and his backing band The J.B.’s.
In the late 1980s, the trio reunited to create The J.B. Horns, wowing live crowds around the world and recording several LPs.
We’re now the proud custodians of the band’s 1993 album I Like It Like That, produced by Richard Mazda, which spun off an earlier single of the same name.
Modern funk at its most infectious!
