Slowdive’s ‘When The Sun Hits’ to feature on new film ‘Snowboarder’

Pioneers of the early 90s Indie sound labelled ‘Shoegaze’, Creation Records band Slowdive are just about to release their first new album in over two decades.

Meanwhile, Cherry Red Songs represent their publishing and have just secured a sync deal for the Slowdive song ‘When The Sun Hits’ in a forthcoming snowboarding film entitled, appropriately enough, Snowboarder.

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
