Sharks Are Finn-ished!?

Formed in 1972 by ex-Free bassist Andy Fraser, guitarist Chris Spedding and singer Steve Parsons, Sharks were something of a rock supergroup. They signed to Island Records and attracted rave reviews for their shows. Watch out for a forthcoming box set boasting their entire output, which includes recordings from an abandoned third album in 1974, nicknamed The Car Crash Tapes, for which Cherry Red have rights. We also represent the output of Parsons’ post-Sharks band Snips. Drop us a line if you’d like more info.

FOXY FRIENDS

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
