Polish Residents

Cherry Red represent the vast catalogue of avant garde, experimental and ground-breaking music of American art collective The Residents, whose aura of mystery was accentuated by their iconic eyeball helmets. The outfit’s many and varied recordings include legendary early albums Meet The Residents, The Third Reich ‘N’ Roll, Fingerprince, Unavailable and Duck Stab. The Residents‘ 1984 “unfinished” work ‘Santa Dog 84′ has been used in a new Polish drama entitled Imago; a story of a rebellious artist struggling with the deep gray everyday life of Poland in the 1980’s. FOXY FRIENDS

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
