In the mid-1980s, renowned producer Rupert Hine created synth pop solo project Thinkman presented as a group, with actors hired for live / TV appearances (including Julian Clary as keyboardist Leo Hurll!).

Fighting Apathy With Shock is the title of a new compilation of Thinkman‘s recordings, which are now available for licence.

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
