Very much the musical vision of founder Richard Paddison (alias Richard Rouska), Leeds-based independent label Rouska Records was active during the second half of the 80s.

Cherry Red are now the proud custodians of the Rouska catalogue, which includes various albums and singles by the likes of DUSTDevils, Son Of Sam, The Good Shepherds, Third Circle, Little Brother and Rouska’s own group WMTID. Drop us a line if you’re curious.

FOXY FRIENDS

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
