Ian A. Anderson is an English folk musician, broadcaster and founding editor of the popular folk magazine fRoots. He started the record label The Village Thing and was one of the pioneers of psychedelic/acid folk, as well presenting shows on BBC Radio 2, BBC World Service and Jazz FM.

Cherry Red are now proud custodians of much of Ian’s music – including the albums Stereo Death Breakdown (1969), Royal York Crescent (1970), A Vulture Is Not A Bird You Can Trust (1971) and Singer Sleeps On As Blaze Rages (1972), as well as lots of rare material. Ian currently presents Podwireless – a monthly podcast dedicated to the world of folk, roots and unpop music.
