Punk Rock-umentary
Founded in the early 70s, veteran London band Cock Sparrer are now one of the biggest on the punk scene, headlining the likes of Rebellion festival. These leading voices on the Oi scene often penned lyrics which dealt with topics related to the daily life of the working class. Their anthem ‘Because You’re Young’ has been used in a new documentary from Radio West Films, Sentenced, wherein a widow and prison abolitionist navigates her conflicting beliefs as she prepares to face her husband’s killer at the sentencing hearing. As well releasing Cock Sparrer’s 2024 studio album Hand On Heart last year, we control the majority of their back catalogue, including Shock Troops (1982), Running Riot In ’84 (1984), Guilty As Charged (1994) and Here We Stand (2007).
