Post-Modern?
What happened when the Mod bands of the mid-60s evolved? Well, that’s the theme of a new collection, Feelin’ Alright! Subtitled “Mod Rock, Funky Prog, Heavy Jazz 1967-1971”, this 3-CD runs he gamut of musical styles around a backbone of groovy rock from the original psychedelic era. Essentially, musicians retained their love of black American music (soul, R&B, jazz) and channelled those influences into their own very British sounds. We represent rights to many such artists from that period, including the Spencer Davis Group, The Mickey Finn, The Alan Bown, Fat Mattress, Plastic Penny, Wynder K.
