Pop Is Bright and Beautiful?
All Things Bright And Beautiful is the title of our forthcoming 3-CD compilation remembering the UK Pop explosion of the late 1960s. As counterpoint to the so-called Bubblegum boom emanating from the States, British performers eschewed the increasingly serious, emerging rock scene for catchy melodies and three minute gems. We control lots of late 60s British pop, including bona fide chart hits by Arrival (‘Friends’), Plastic Penny (‘Everything I Am’), The Flower Pot Men (‘Let’s Go To San Francisco’) and the Spencer Davis Group (‘Mr. Second Class’) and more obscure tracks by acts such as Living Daylights, Twinkle, Don Fardon, The Spectrum, Twiggy and many others.
