Hailing from Liverpool, The Cryin’ Shames only issued three singles under the watchful gaze of legendary producer Joe Meek but they boasted the haunting radio hit ‘Please Stay’ and the menacing freakbeat of ‘Come On Back’. We are proud to represent the rights to these and many other recordings which Meek made with budding British beat and R&B bands in the mid-sixties such as David John & The Mood, The Syndicats, Heinz & The Wild Boys and many others.

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
