Pink Skies Ahead

Written and directed by Kelly Oxford and starring Rosa Salazar, Mary J. Blige and Henry Winkler, Pink Skies Ahead is the title of a new independent comedy-drama telling the story of a young woman who struggles with an anxiety disorder after dropping out of school.

Premiered as part of SXSW’s virtual-only film competition in March, Pink Skies Ahead includes within its soundtrack three early 90s indie tracks represented by Cherry Red: ‘Still A World Away’ by The Popguns, ‘Over Your Head’ by Dinosaur Jr and Ned’s Atomic Dustbin‘s 1990 hit ‘Until You Find Out’.

Due to the COVID crisis, a general release date for the film has yet to be announced.

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
