PARIS PERFUME?

Paris Angels were one of the standout acts to emerge from the Madchester scene. Blending jangly indie guitars with dancefloor grooves, the seven-piece became underground favourites with their acclaimed 1990 single ‘All On You (Perfume)’, which was named NME‘s Single of the Week and troubled the UK Indie Chart. The track has recently featured in an episode of Season 4 of HBO/BBC’s hit financial drama Industry, introducing its infectious indie-dance sound to a new generation of viewers.

FOXY FRIENDS

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
