Paint The Town Rosie

Rosie were an Anglo-German glam rock quartet who flitted between Berlin and London during their short existence in 1973. Despite the band attracting a reputation for their wild attitude and hedonistic lifestyle, demos of their brazen rock‘n’roll sound remained in the can until 2021 when signature tune ‘Rosie’s Coming To Town’ graced a Cherry Red glam rock compilation, Rosie’s first official release. The track has now been used in the new series of Amazon Prime’s Hunters, a crime drama set in 1977 and starring Al Pacino.

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
