OUT OF THE FRYING PAN…

After The Fire were a British prog rock/new wave band formed in the early 1970s, known for scoring different one-off hits in both the UK and US – ‘One Rule For You’ and ‘Der Kommissar’. After early lineup changes and a transition from Christian-themed prog to synth-driven pop-rock, they signed to CBS. Sporadic reunions followed their split in 1982, with a full comeback in 2004. Cherry Red represent their albums Signs Of Change and AT2F, as well as various live tracks, demos and unreleased songs. Drop us a line to hear more.

FOXY FRIENDS

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
