No Rest For The Fest

Cherry Red represent the vast catalogue of avant-garde, experimental and ground-breaking music of American art collective The Residents, whose aura of mystery was accentuated by their iconic eyeball helmets. The outfit’s many and varied recordings include legendary early albums Meet The Residents, The Third Reich ‘N’ Roll, Fingerprince, Unavailable and Duck Stab. The Residents‘ instrumental composition ‘Rest Aria,’ taken from their 1973 debut album, has been used in a new feature documentary Festa Major, which explores a small village in the Pyrenees which holds five days of dancing and drunkenness, madness and happiness, rituals and spontaneous inventions.
