MUSICAL BARKS?

Barking In The Dark (formerly known by the working title Behind The Mask) is a documentary short by filmmaker Marie Losier, which profiles the avant garde, experimental and ground-breaking group The Residents, with footage shot before, during and after their 50th Anniversary tour of Europe in 2023. Cherry Red represent the vast catalogue of the collective, whose aura of mystery was accentuated visually by their iconic eyeball helmets. The Residents’ many and varied recordings include legendary early albums Meet The Residents, The Third Reich ‘N’ Roll, Fingerprince, Unavailable and Duck Stab.

FOXY FRIENDS

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
