Mel & Kim’s ‘Respectable’ featured in BBC’s Coming Home series

TV drama Come Home already looks set to be one of the BBC’s most popular series of 2018. Included in the opening episode – broadcast a couple of weeks ago – is ‘Respectable’, Mel & Kim‘s chart-topping dance/pop hit from 1987.

Cherry Red represent all of the Stock Aitken Waterman act’s recordings.

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
