This 3-CD box set of acts recorded by the maverick producer in his studio at 304 Holloway Road includes numerous unreleased tracks and gems such as Meek’s last Top 30 hit production, ‘Please Stay’ by The Cryin’ Shames, freakbeat classic ‘Crawdaddy Simone’ by The Syndicats, Screaming Lord Sutch’s horror rocker ‘Jack The Ripper’ and David John & The Mood’s incendiary take on Bo Diddley’s ‘Bring It To Jerome’. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
