Led by formidable frontman Gene October, punk band Chelsea formed in 1976 and have continued in different guises, off and on, ever since. Their debut single from 1977, ‘Right To Work’, is considered one of the best punk singles of all time. We boast rights to much of their catalogue, including all of their early, Step Forward-era recordings (including their self-titled debut, the Alternative Hits compilation from 1979 and 1982’s Evacuate) alongside additional demos, singles, remixes and live albums.

FOXY FRIENDS

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
