Loved Your Last Letter
Quintessential English group The Marine Girls formed in 1980 when Tracey Thorn and Gina Hartman met to produce lo-fi post-punk before expanding their sound with the addition of the Fox sisters Jane and Alice later that year.
Although Tracey went on to bigger things with Everything But The Girl, the Marine Girls’ second album Lazy Ways remains a cult indie pop favourite and its track ‘Love To Know’ has been picked up by Netflix for their new British romantic drama film The Last Letter From Your Lover.
The film depicts a pair of interwoven stories set in the past and present, following an ambitious journalist determined to solve the mystery of a forbidden love affair at the centre of a trove of secret love letters from 1965. It stars Felicity Jones (Star Wars Rogue One) and Callum Turner (Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them).
