LOVE ACTION!

‘No One Is To Blame’ began life as a highlight of Howard Jones‘ hit second album Dream Into Action; an album celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. Howard re-recorded the song with ex-Genesis drummer and solo star Phil Collins– a version that eventually gifted Jones with his biggest-ever US hit (No. 4 – and No. 16 UK). Today sees the release of a new limited edition 20 track 2LP – The Farmyard Sessions, containing 16 tracks recorded with producer Rupert Hine during the Dream Into Action sessions.

FOXY FRIENDS

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
