Lodge 49 Struck Gold!

Now into its second season, US AMC TV series, Lodge 49, is based around the adventures of a young ex-surfer, from Long Beach, California, played by Wyatt Russell, who joins a local fraternal group after his father’s death.

The new season includes in its soundtrack an obscure mid-60s production by Joe Meek, ‘Diggin’ For Gold’ by British R&B band David John & The Mood.

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
