LOCK ‘EM UP!

LOCK ‘EM UP!

Extreme metal supergroup Lock Up was formed in the late 1990s by Napalm Death’s Shane Embury, bringing together a formidable line-up from across the global metal scene including Jesse Pintado, Nick Barker and Peter Tägtgren. Drawing influence from bands such as Terrorizer and Possessed, their debut Pleasure Pave Sewers delivered a ferocious blend of grindcore and death metal, followed by Hate Breeds Suffering and later releases that featured evolving line-ups including Tomas Lindberg and Anton Reisenegger. Cherry Red now represent the catalogue, due to be released as a deluxe 4CD box set in April. The repertoire adds to our already broad catalogue of heavy metal from the late 1970s, 1980s and 1990s, spanning artists from the Powerstation label such as Tokyo Blade and Chrome Molly, through to pioneers of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal including Girlschool and Witchfynde, as well as international acts such as Alcatrazz and Acid.
