To any fan of American indie and alt. rock, Dinosaur Jr need no introduction.

From their roots on labels like SST in the 80s to mainstream success with Warners in the 1990s, J Mascis & Co. have been hugely influential.

The band’s arguably most popular single ‘Feel The Pain’ has been used in the new mini-series of popular drama Dexter: New Blood.

Cherry Red represent Dinosaur Jr‘s Warner-era recordings, based around their quartet of albums: Green Mind (1991), Where You Been (1993), Without A Sound (1994) and Hand It Over (1997).

FOXY FRIENDS

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
