Late Night Mix Tapes

Always, the first alias of Kevin Wright (later known as Mr Wright), emerged from the art school influenced sector of 80s indie / alternative rock. His 1984 single ‘Late Again’ has been used in a new Australian-Irish romantic drama series Mix Tape, centered around a couple who reconnect through shared musical memories. Always released four singles, and the album The Thames Valley Leather Club, on él Records, a label known for its literate, subtly humorous and sensual aesthetic. FOXY FRIENDS

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
