Back in 1980, The Exploited were part of a new punk vanguard, playing fast, furious, angry music which made the Sex Pistols and The Clash sound effeminate by comparison! The Scottish band attracted a huge cult following across the 1980s among a hardcore working class punk and skinhead audience, breaking onto the scene with a clarion call of a first album Punk’s Not Dead (81). Their classic track ‘Sex and Violence’ underpins the trailer for upcoming psychological horror film Bone Lake. All of The Exploited’s hits are available for licence.

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
