Kim Closer Now!

Kim Wilde’s new studio album Closer is out today! It boasts two BBC Radio A-listed singles – ‘Midnight Train’ and ‘Trail Of Destruction’. Today’s track, though, is ‘Sorrow Replaced’, a duet with fellow 80’s star Midge Ure. Just this week, Kim has appeared on a multitude of TV and radio programmes, including BBC Breakfast, Loose Women and Chris Evans on Virgin Radio. And next week, she performs on the prestigious BBC Radio 2 show Piano Room. All of Kim’s early recordings from 1981-1983 are represented by Cherry Red, including the singles ‘Kids In America’, ‘Chequered Love’, ‘Cambodia’ and more.

FOXY FRIENDS

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
