Cherry Red have recently acquired the rights to a raft of British rock recordings from the golden era of the mid-Seventies.

These include the eponymous 1975 album (pictured) by commune dwellers Global Village Trucking Company; the extremely scarce, privately-pressed Thank You & Goodnight LP (1976) by National Flag; an acetate-only LP by Rusty; two albums by Strider, Exposed and Misunderstood (from 1973/74); Snap by Scrounger (1976); both albums by ‘Wild Thing’ hitmakers Fancy; various recordings by Rococo; Two Man Band (1975) by Medicine Head; Fast Buck’s eponymous album for Jet (1976); and also for Jet, an unissued 1977 album by Dave Morgan (ex-Magnum) and Jim Cleary.

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
