IN THE MOOD FOR MILLER?
The ‘Glenn Miller Medley’ (also issued as ‘Plays Glenn Miller’) was released as a single by the John Anderson Big Band. The track strings together a number of classics originally associated with jazz big band legend Glenn Miller, including versions of his late 30s/early 40s smashes ‘In the Mood’, ‘American Patrol’, ‘Little Brown Jug’ and ‘Pennsylvania 6-5000’. One of our most streamed recordings, the single graced the Top 75 of the UK Chart in late 1985/early 1986 before being sampled to great commercial effect by Jive Bunny and the Mastermixers.
