Icing On The Cake

C86-era scenesters 14 Iced Bears were formed in Brighton in 1985 by frontman Rob Sekula and guitarist Kevin Canham. Awash with buzzsaw guitars, their jangly, psych infused indie-pop saw them receive critical acclaim from the music press and John Peel. The band have recently had tracks featured on the ITV crime drama Karen Pirie and Amazon Prime drama series Shelter. We represent recordings by many indie acts from that period, including The Mighty Lemon Drops, The Bodines, The Soup Dragons, McCarthy, Brilliant Corners, The Charlottes, The Popguns, The June Brides, The Wolfhounds, The Weather Prophets and many others.

FOXY FRIENDS

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
