Back in the 80s and early 90s, Howard Jones notched up a string of catchy, memorable synth-pop hits on both sides of the Atlantic. Cherry Red are the proud custodians of recordings from the first decade of Howard‘s career (1983-1993). Included are all his hit singles, such as ‘New Song’, ‘What Is Love?’, ‘Like To Get To Know You Well’, ‘Pearl In The Shell’ and last but not least, Howard’s UK/US Top 10 smash, ‘Things Can Only Get Better’ – which features in recent video game Kerbal Space Program 2; a space flight simulator developed by Intercept Games for PC.

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
