Helvete: The History Of Norwegian Black Metal is a documentary series about the country’s black metal scene, dating from the early eighties through to its most controversial heyday in the 90s.
Instead of dwelling on the more storied murder, suicide and church burnings, this four-parter focuses on the music and images of black metal, exhibiting bands like Mayhem, Burzum and Darkthrone’s early influences – including ‘Jimmy Boyle’ by The Exploited, which is used on the documentary.
