HiFi Club with legendary Colin Nichol, Generation HiFi is a new film documenting the new music and youth subculture in 1960s Perth.

The soundtrack boasts numerous acts that cut their teeth on the scene.

One of the main acts was Terry Walker’s trio The Times who are represented by their rocking single, the Walker-penned ‘Glad, Not Sad’ (originally issued on Clarion in 1965), which was a Top 10 hit in the city.

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
