HELLO NEW YORK!

Penned by Russ Ballard (a prolific songwriter who made his name with the rock band Argent), ‘New York Groove‘ was a UK Top 10 hit in 1975 for popular glam rock band Hello before being covered by Ace Frehley of Kiss. Frequently used in TV and film, Hello‘s version has been featured recently in Drop Dead City, a 2024 documentary which details the 1975 New York City fiscal crisis. Drop us a line to learn more.

FOXY FRIENDS

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
