British-born singer / songwriter / actress Hazel O’Connor made her breakthrough role as Kate in the hit 1980 film Breaking Glass, which also helped to kickstart her musical career.
Down the years, she has been both a media sensation and a musician; indeed, Hazel has used the often-baffling complexities of modern life in a media-driven world to fuel her art.
Her cover of The Dubliners’ ‘Skibbereen’ (taken from 2018’s 5 In The Morning) has recently been used in the ITV crime drama Holding; Olivier award-winning actor Conleth Hill plays a gentle, introverted local police officer obliged to solve a serious crime for the first time in his career.
