GRACIOUS GREENSLADE
Cherry Red is proud to represent the Greenslade catalogue, which now includes later-period solo albums by founding member and keyboardist Dave Greenslade. Formed in 1972 by ex-Colosseum members, the band were known for their distinctive twin-keyboard sound and released a series of acclaimed albums, including Greenslade (1973), Bedside Manners Are Extra (1973), the UK Top 40 hit Spyglass Guest (1974), and Time and Tide (1975). We also now have rights to the recordings of Gracious!, a cult progressive rock band who emerged in the late ’60s. Their Mellotron-driven sound led to a critically praised debut on Vertigo in 1970 and sequel This Is… Gracious. A forthcoming new 3CD/DVD box set The Recordings 1970–1971 boasts their entire output. These new acquisitions bolster our extensive progressive rock archive (Barclay James Harvest, Be Bop Deluxe, Hawkwind, Renaissance, Procol Harum, Stackridge, Soft Machine, Nektar, Chris Squire et al).
